Dr Nina Sheffield, MD (Ukraine)

Med-Spa Clinic is owned and run by Dr Nina Sheffield who gained her medical qualifications in the former Russian Federation. She attended Grodno State Medical University in Belarus and Odessa State Medical University in Ukraine where she trained as a GP and later as an ear, nose and throat specialist and surgeon. In addition to her State practice and working as a consultant to the Army, she also became an accomplished cosmetic surgeon gaining experience in many advanced areas of surgery working with her father, Prof. Dr Michail Ovsannikov and her mother Dr Lidya Kovalenko in the family-owned ENT and cosmetic surgery clinic.
Dr Sheffield has not sought registration with the GMC nor has she applied to hold a licence to practice medicine or surgery in the UK as Med-Spa is a non-surgical, non-invasive clinic. Med-Spa Clinic is registered by The Healthcare Commission (Reg. No. 62480) to use prescribed techniques and technology including the use of Intense Pulsed Light, Class 3B and Class 4 Lasers. And, although Dr Sheffield has a great deal of experience of cosmetic surgery and its effects both good and bad, it has always been her objective to equip Med-Spa with the latest and most effective non-invasive technology to avoid the need to resort to surgery. This approach enables her to provide treatments and procedures that avoid the trauma, distress and long periods of recovery that surgical procedures require, yet produce in many cases even better results.
